IN MEMORIA DI ELISA: STOP SURROGACY

Da tempo Steadfast Onlus si occupa della piaga della maternità surrogata (utero in affitto) come testimonia questo video di alcuni anni fa realizzato in collaborazione con ProVita Onlus e Vita è.

Questo reportage vuole mettere in luce i problemi, i drammi e i traffici dietro questo fenomeno dilagante.

Jennifer Lahl, fondatrice della Rete “Centro di Bioetica e Cultura” (http://www.cbc-network.org/) spiega che gli Stati Uniti sono i primi fornitori al mondo di madri surrogate.
Tra i tanti problemi di salute in cui può incorrere una madre surrogata, si cita la preeclampsia, il diabete gestazionale, l’ipertensione materna che sono in aggiunta ai drammi psicologici dovuti al portare avanti una gravidanza gemellare o plurigemellare e quelli legati al momento del distacco.
Ovviamente, le cliniche che svolgono questo commercio, dipingono la maternità surrogata come un sogno che si avvera per chi ha difficoltà ad avere figli in maniera tradizionale.

Elisa, una mamma che si trovava in difficoltà economica, decise che la maternità surrogata poteva essere la soluzione ai suoi problemi.
Si accorge ben presto che invece stava vivendo un incubo.
Le promisero che sarebbe stata sempre la madre della bimba ma, approfittando della sua ingenuità, le fecero firmare vari documenti, in maniera a volte illegale, che hanno fatto dare in adozione la sua bimba.
Dopo aver partorito in un ambulatorio riadattato per partorire, si è trovata a casa da sola senza bimba provando un dolore indescrivibile che non è mai cessato.
L’ultima volta che ha visto sua figlia aveva 2 anni e mezzo e, all’epoca del video, la bimba ne aveva già 9.
Nonostante abbia provato a rivolgersi a un legale non è riuscita ad ottenere nulla.
Ha conosciuto altre donne che hanno vissuto la stessa esperienza e ci dice che vivono tutte le sue stesse emozioni e lo stesso dolore.
“La maternità surrogata è un tornado, una catastrofe che ti investe e da cui non sai come difenderti. All’interno del proprio animo si scatenano i sentimenti più potenti e incredibili… A tutti dico: NO, non fatelo mai perchè questo rovinerà la vostra vita, quella dei vostri figli se già ne avete, e quella del bambino che state dando via. “

Emmanuele Di Leo, presidente di Steadfast Onlus, spiega che la maternità surrogata è diventata, in alcuni territori, una nuova forma di schiavitù legata al traffico di esseri umani.
Le organizzazioni criminali che sfruttano le donne per la prostituzione, ad esempio in Nigeria, reclutano donne locali che intimoriscono o illudono altre ragazze per farle cadere in questo traffico e farle arrivare in paesi compiacenti, come ad esempio l’inghilterra, dove questa pratica è legale.
Ogni donna rende sul canale prostituzione circa 57.000€ all’anno ma, se la stessa viene utilizzata per la maternità surrogata, in 6 mesi ne rende 120.000€.
Cooperando da anni proprio con la Nigeria, Stedafast Onlus ha scoperto che, già dal 2001, in orfanotrofi convertiti in cliniche con mezzi che potete immaginare, venivano portate donne rapite per essere violentate e poter venderne i figli. Ripetendo la sequenza ogni 9 mesi.
Oggi lo stupro non serve più perché la leva psicologica è quella che fa leva sull’aspetto sentimentale: se utilizzi il tuo corpo per la maternità surrogata aiuti qualcun altro facendoti credere di fare del bene.

Toni Brandi, presidente di Pro Vita Onlus, spiega che in Italia la #legge40tutela la vendita di gameti, di embrioni, e la maternità surrogata, con pene che arrivano a 1 anno di carcere e multe che possono raggiungere il milione di Euro.
Nonostante questo, le aziende internazionali, attraverso i loro avvocati o internet, riescono a creare contatti con famiglie italiane e realizzano questo business approfittando di tribunali e giudici compiacenti che interpretano o cambiano le leggi a loro piacimento.
Nel Settembre 2014 è stata organizzata, nel centro di Milano, una riunione privata a cui, due loro sostenitori, hanno partecipato registrando tutto.
Il Dottore della clinica americana ha spiegato ad una platea di 25 persone assortite tra coppie etero, dello stesso sesso e un single, come scegliere i gameti e la madre surrogata per avere un figlio “su misura”, come si risparmia usando la loro intermediazione e il trucco per introdurre questi bimbi in Italia, dove comunque la pratica è vietata, facendo prima uno scalo aereo in un paese europeo dove è lecita.
Purtroppo è stato anche spiegato che in caso di cambio idea la donna è costretta ad abortire il bimbo.

Renzo Puccetti, Presidente di Vita è, spiega che la maternità surrogata non è MAI etica in quanto è una stratificazione di procedure non etiche quali la fecondazione artificiale, in cui il concepito viene trattato come un manufatto, e la fecondazione eterologa, dove il gamete mancante viene acquisito da un soggetto pagato e selezionato in base alle caratteristiche scelte.
Ricorrendo all’utero in affitto si “programma” la sottrazione di un bimbo già sapendo di creare una lacerazione del rapporto bioetico e gestazionale tra madre e figlio.
Nel caso di coppie dello stesso sesso, in aggiunta, il bimbo non potrà confrontarsi con la complementarità sessuale dei genitori.
È quindi una procedura non condivisibile se non con istanze di tipo egoistico e di prevaricazione del più forte sul più debole.

This video story aims to highlight the problems, the dramas and the trafficking hidden behind this widespread phenomenon.

The numerous health problems in which a surrogate mother may incur are: pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, maternal hypertension and, in addition, the psychological drama due to carrying on a twin or multiple birth pregnancy and those connected to the moment of detachment from the baby.
Obviously, the surgeries that carry out this business depict the act of surrogacy as a dream that become true for those who have difficulty in having children in the traditional way.

Elisa, a mother who was in financial difficulty, decided that surrogate motherhood could have been the solution to her problems.
She soon realised that, instead, she was living in a nightmare.
They promised her she would have been the mother of the child but, taking advantage of her naivety, they made her sign various documents, sometimes illegally, which resulted in her daughter being adopted.
After giving the birth in an inadequate surgery theatre, she found herself at home alone without the child with an indescribable feeling of pain that never ended.
Last time she saw her daughter she was 2 and a half years old, and at the time this video was recorded, the girl was already 9.
Although she tried to contact a lawyer, nothing happened afterwards.
She was able to meet other women who experienced the same, and she told us that all of them were living the same emotional struggle.
“Surrogate motherhood is a tornado, a catastrophe that invests you and from which you don’t know how to defend yourself. The most powerful and unbelievable feelings are unleashed within your soul … To everyone I say: DON’T, never do it because this will ruin your life, the life of your children if you already have them, and the life of the child you will give away.”

Emmanuele Di Leo, President of Steadfast Onlus, explains that surrogacy has become, in some territories, a new form of slavery connected to the trafficking of human beings.
Criminal organizations that exploit women for prostitution, for example in Nigeria, recruit local women who intimidate or mislead other girls to fall into this traffic and facilitate them to go in complacent countries, such as the UK, where this practice is semi-legal.
Each woman, allows an income of about € 57,000 per year if exploited in the prostitution channel, meanwhile the same woman can allow an income of roughly € 120,000 in 6 months if used for surrogacy.
Stedafast ONLUS, cooperating for years with Nigeria, has discovered that, since 2001, in orphanages converted into surgery with inadequate medical equipment, various women were kidnapped to be raped and with the scope to sell their children. this sequence was repeated every 9 months.
Today rape is no longer needed because the psychological leverage takes advantage of the sentimental aspect: if you use your body for surrogate motherhood, you could help someone else, making you believe you are doing good.

Toni Brandi, president of Pro Vita Onlus, explains that in Italy the “Law 40” protects the sale of gametes, embryos, and surrogate motherhood, with charges of up to 1 year in prison and fines of up to one million euros.
Despite this, international companies, through their lawyers or the web, manage to create contacts with Italian families and pursue their scope of business and by taking advantage of courts and complacent judges which interpret or change laws at their own will.
In September 2014, a private meeting was organized in the centre of Milan with two of their supporters participating and recording everything.
The Doctor of the American clinic explained to an audience of 25 assorted people, straight couples, same sex couple and a single individual, how to choose the gametes and the surrogate mother to have a “tailor-made” child, how you could save money using their intermediation and the way to legally bring these children in Italy, where the practice is prohibited, by first landing in a European country where this practice is lawful.
Unfortunately, it was also explained that in the event the surrogate mother changes her mind, the woman will be forced to abort the child.

Renzo Puccetti, President of “Vita è”, explains that surrogate motherhood is NEVER ethical because it’s a stratification of unethical procedures such as artificial fertilization, in which the unborn is treated as a good, and the heterologous fertilization, where the missing gamete it’s acquired by a person paid and selected based on the characteristics requested.
Deciding to pursue surrogacy, is a “programmed” act aimed to remove a child from a person already knowing that this will create a wound of the bioethical and gestational relationship between the mother and child.
In the case of same-sex couples, in addition, the child will not be able to deal with the sexual complementarity of the parents.
It’s therefore a procedure that cannot be endorsed, except with selfish instances, and represents the abuse of the strongest over the weaker.
